1. Mullein Leaf Extract 10:1
Verbascum thapsus — great mullein — is the tall, soft-leaved plant Western herbal tradition has associated with the chest for centuries. The 10:1 marking on our panel means ten parts of leaf are concentrated into one part of extract before it enters the blend, one of only two potency figures we print.
Its mucilage coats and soothes, and its saponins and flavonoids are well characterized in laboratory work. Controlled human trials on the leaf itself remain scarce — we say that plainly, which is why mullein anchors a support formula rather than a treatment claim.
Traditional preparations required cloth-straining the leaf’s fine hairs, a throat irritant; extraction removes the problem entirely.
2. Ginger Root Extract
Zingiber officinale carries more human research than the other four ingredients combined — well over a hundred randomized trials, with its strongest, most consistent evidence in nausea relief at gram-level doses and a broad literature on its anti-inflammatory gingerols and shogaols.

3. Bromelain
